Partners

The RESONANT project is coordinated by Fondazione FORMIT bringing together a comprehensive, experiences and multi-disciplinary team with a highly diverse expertise and skills. The RESONANT consortium is comprising of 10 partner organisations across 7 countries representing law enforcement authorities, utility network partners, scientific/academic partners, research foundations/NGOs, and government departments.

FORMIT (Italy)

FORMIT is a non corporate private body working in favour of national Public Authorities (e.g., Ministry of the Interior and the General Defence Staff) and EU Institutions (e.g., Research Executive Agency and European Defence Agency) for research and innovation in the field of Security and Defence, with previous experience coordinating large project (e.g. H2020). As Coordinator of the project, FORMIT will also be involved in mapping FIMI incidents and TTPs, behavioural analysis, case studies definition, creating methodological toolkit and policy recommendations.

URJC is a public university in Madrid. As WP1 Leader, its research team is based at the Faculty of Law and Politics and the Good Governance Observatory, a structure for research and the dissemination of knowledge to the scientific community and society in relation to migration, extremism, radicalisation, policy design and evaluation, and research methodology.

The Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) is an established research center since 2005 within the Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection. KEMEA participates as WP2 Leader with a multidisciplinary team to test existing tools in combating FIMI actions, mapping and analysing TTPs targeting certain communities. KEMEA will also contribute to organising TTXs.

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), via its Cyber and Data Security Lab (CDSL), aims to explore the legal aspects of cybersecurity and information security, to promote awareness, and foster new ideas within the relevant legal framework, both globally and within the EU. VUB team will mainly participate in activities related to legal requirements and societal analysis.

The University for the Bavarian Police officers and its research institute CEPOLIS will participate and support the project mainly in the social science research and is leading the dissemination and communication activities in WP5.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (KhNUIA) is a leading Law Enforcement Agency of Higher Police Education in Eastern Ukraine and Multidisciplinary Research Center under the patronage of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (MoIA). KhNUIA will participate in TTPs analysis and impact analysis of the information suppression, in particular by the Russia state.

The Hellenic Police’s mission is to a) ensure public order and democracy, b) prevent and counter crime and terrorism and c) protect the Hellenic and EU borders. HP will participate with high-expertise officers of the cybercrime and intelligence analysis units in the testing and validation of the RESONANT detection and analysis tools in combating FIMI TTPs.

MoIA carries out state policy for the protection of the rights and liberties of citizens, investigates and fights crime, and provides civil order. MoIA, through the expertise of the Cyberpolice Department (National Police of Ukraine), mainly participates in the analysis of TTPS and validating the methodologies proposed by the project.

UNIBO is the oldest university in the Western world, ranked in the top 200 on the two most prestigious international University rankings. With its team of Sociology, Culture and Communication (Department of Sociology and Business Law), UNIBO supports interviews and focus groups design and administration with certain communities and other target groups, collaborating to the engagement of stakeholders

AMO is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization focusing on foreign policy research. AMO team has long-term experience in mapping China’s and Russia’s information operations in Europe, including the effects of propaganda and disinformation on various stakeholders.
