RESONANT Stakeholder Board Meeting

10/12/2025

The first meeting of the RESONANT Stakeholder Board has recently been held. It brought together a diverse and extensive group of experts from the fields of advocacy, research, journalism, and security, marking a particularly significant moment in the evolution of our project.

Why is a Board of Experts Necessary?

The Board plays a crucial role in ensuring that the research conducted by the RESONANT consortium partners is as aligned as possible with the needs of the current stakeholders involved in exploring and counteracting foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI). The board ensures that the analysis, investigations, and findings produced throughout the research are directly useful in real-world operational and professional contexts, helping to create practical and actionable solutions.

Structure of the Stakeholder Board

The RESONANT Stakeholder Board, organized into thematic clusters, currently brings together 34 international entities, including institutions, organizations, associations, and European projects focused on FIMI. The board convenes at strategic points throughout the project to offer feedback and provide independent evaluations based on the findings and analysis gathered by the consortium partners during the research.

By joining the board, stakeholders gain valuable networking opportunities, collaborating with a diverse consortium of universities, organizations, institutions, and FIMI experts. Board members also have access to critical insights, keeping them informed about project results, publications, and key outcomes. Additionally, board members can explore, in collaboration with the RESONANT consortium partners, further opportunities for joint initiatives, including potential involvement in related research and proposals.

How to Join the Board

It is not too late to become a member of the board! The RESONANT Stakeholder Board is open to new members throughout the duration of the project. Participation is voluntary and open to both organizations and individual stakeholders. Board members have the opportunity to participate in workshops and focus groups, contributing to the validation of tools developed by consortium partners in the fight against FIMI.

Future Events

During the meeting, the next phases of the project were also discussed, particularly the development of a methodological toolkit and the collection of policy recommendations to help mitigate the impact of information suppression. These tools will be included in the final RESONANT Handbook, scheduled for release in September 2026, offering valuable resources for stakeholders

The next Stakeholder Board meeting is scheduled for February 2026.
